Muller Tree Services welcomed our newest member on February 28! Sophia Muller was born at 2:30 a.m. and weighed 8 pounds 15 ounces! And just in time for tree season! She is not quite ready to use a chainsaw yet, but maybe next season :) At any rate.....we are back in full swing. This week, our tree service has done tree removals in Ada, Lowell, and Hopkins. We will be in East Grand Rapids on Monday, working on a hundred plus year old Oak tree. Just a couple blocks from Immaculate Heart of Mary church. Now is the time for Spring trimming, so give us a call!
Hello Grand Rapids residents! Spring tree trimming and removal season is just around the corner. Just as the groundhog takes an early peek outside, so do us homeowners. When the deep freeze loosens its icy grip, we start to look towards the sky again. Our trees have been dormant all winter, and will be waking up soon! Early spring is a great time for tree trimming and pruning dead or hazardous branches. Trees absorb a tremendous amount of water in the spring, and much of that weight translates to new leaves and buds.
As a Grand Rapids tree service, we see a bit of everything when it comes to tree issues. A big one recently has been blowovers, or tall trees that have been uprooted by the wind. This occurs often in pine trees and evergreens. The root systems in these trees is often more shallow and less extensive than the roots of hardwood trees like Oak and Maple. The result is a lot of pine trees laying on the ground after high wind like we had a few weeks ago.
Hello everyone! Happy February 7th. The groundhog saw his shadow this year, so buckle up for a few more weeks of winter wonder. Be aware, this snow system that is moving in is supposed to bring the type of snow that is wet and heavy. If you have tree branches that were already weak, dead, or broken, this type of snow will sometimes add enough stress to break them loose. Be aware of where your cars are parked. Often, cars take the first hit because they are parked under hazardous tree branches. Take a minute or two to look at the trees around your home or yard.
We have the greatest team in the world! Always ready to do the job and perform tree surgery the safest way possible. We are truly lucky to have such a great group of tree specialists. In this picture a 65 inch stump blinds the sun. Not dealing here with your typical residential tree removals in this picture. Logs of this size can often be milled for lumber after our tree service cuts down a tree. Unfortunately, this one was from a cottonwood tree, and is all but worthless. However, we had a lot of fun bringing it to the ground! Tree surgery at its best. Call us Today!! 616-406-5451
